Annabelle Imber Tuck served as a justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court from 1997 until 2010.[1] On September 9, 2009, Imber informed Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe of her intention to retire from the court effective January 1, 2010, due to ill health.[2] As her term would not have expired until 2011, Governor Beebe appointed William H. Bowen to serve out its remainder.[3]

Imber was the first woman to win election to the Arkansas Supreme Court.[4] After her marriage in 2010, she changed her name.[5]

Education

She received her B.A. from Smith College in 1971, and her J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1977.[1]
