John N. Walters was a judge of the Sixteenth Circuit Court in Illinois. He was appointed to the 2nd Subcircuit (Kane County) in 2011. He lost a bid for election to a full term and stepped down from the court in December of 2012.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Walters received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University in 1974 and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1978.[5]

2012 election

Walters was defeated by John G. Dalton on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 46.4% of the vote. He defeated John F. Hurlbut in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 59.06% of the vote.[6][4][1][7]
