General: He defeated Daniel Kidd in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 72.8 percent of the vote.

Education
McMillan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1992.[4]
Career
Prior to his judicial election in 2014, McMillan practiced law with the Lewis Thomason law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also previously worked with the firm of Sheppeard, Swanson, Mynatt & McMillan, PLC in Knoxville.[4]
