Greg McMillan is a judge of the Sixth Circuit Court, which presides over Knox County in Tennessee. He was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1. His current term expires in 2022.[1][2]

McMillan ran for election to the Sixth Circuit Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 50.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Patti Jane Lay.
General: He defeated Daniel Kidd in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 72.8 percent of the vote. [1][3][2]

Education

McMillan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1992.[4]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2014, McMillan practiced law with the Lewis Thomason law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also previously worked with the firm of Sheppeard, Swanson, Mynatt & McMillan, PLC in Knoxville.[4]
