David Herndon (Republican Party) ran for election to the South Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 99. He lost in the Republican primary runoff on June 23, 2020.
Herndon was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 52 of the South Carolina House of Representatives.

2012
Herndon ran in the 2012 election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 52. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 12. Incumbent Laurie Slade Funderburk (D) ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election between the two candidates took place on November 6, 2012. Herndon was defeated in the general election.[1][2]
