Walter Runte Jr. (Democratic Party) (also known as Gerry) is a member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 146. He assumed office on December 6, 2022. His current term ends on December 1, 2026.
Runte (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maine House of Representatives to represent District 146. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Walter Runte Jr. was born in York, Maine. Runte served in the U.S. Army.[1] Runte earned a master's degree in nuclear engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1976. His career experience includes working as the managing director of Worthington Sawtelle, the general manager of clean energy of ARES Corporation, and the executive director of hydrogen energy and alternative fuels of Gas Technology Institute.[2]
