Elections for the office of South Carolina House of Representatives will take place in 2016. The primary election for District 100 took place on July 19, and the general election was held held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was July 5, 2016. A new primary election was scheduled after the only candidate that filed withdrew from the race.
Incumbent Sylleste Davis defeated Tonia Aiken-Taylor in the South Carolina House of Representatives District 100 general election.[1][2]

Aiken-Taylor ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12. She was defeated by incumbent Edward L. Southard in the general election on November 6.[4][5]
2011
Aiken-Taylor was a Democratic candidate in the special election for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 100. The special elections was called to fill the vacancy created when C. David Umphlett, Jr. (R) died on May 29, 2011 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.[6] She was defeated by Edward Southard (R) in the September 27, 2011 special election. District 100 is in Berkeley County.[7]
