An effort in Arnegard, North Dakota, to recall Mayor Virginia Elliot was initiated in 2018. Petitioners submitted enough signatures to put the recall on the ballot on March 11, 2019.[1] The recall effort failed, and Elliot retained her office.[2]
Recall vote
The recall election was held on March 11, 2019. Virginia Elliot defeated former Mayor Jeffrey Kindel.[2]

Petitioners submitted 18 signatures to the city auditor on November 2, 2018. Auditor Juelie Bancroft certified the signatures on November 30, 2018, and the recall election was scheduled for March 11, 2019.[1]
