Melvin Newendyke
Melvin Newendyke is a former Republican member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 80 from 2010 to 2014. Newendyke did not seek re-election in 2014.
Biography
Newendyke earned his B.S. in accounting from Bob Jones University. His professional experience includes working as a farmer, bank executive data center manager, systems analyst and computer programmer.

Newendyke ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 80. Newendyke ran unopposed in the June 12 Republican primary and defeated Rachel Sukeforth (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
2010
Newendyke's opponent in the November 2 general election was Democratic candidate Scott Wing. According to unofficial results, Newendyke defeated Wing in the November 2 general election.[3] Democratic incumbent Nancy Smith was not eligible for re-election under Maine's term limits.
