John C. Cook was a judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Tennessee. He joined the court in 1987 and retired from the bench on March 31, 2015.[1][2]

Education

Judge Cook received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.[3]

Career

Cook first worked as a Law Clerk to United States District Judge Frank Wiley Wilson from 1975 to 1978. Next, in 1978 to 1987, he was appointed Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Chattanooga where he was a supervisor. In September of 1987, he was appointed bankruptcy judge.[4]
