Austin Quinn-Davidson
Austin Quinn-Davidson was the acting mayor of Anchorage, Alaska. She assumed office on October 23, 2020, following the effective resignation of Ethan Berkowitz.[1] According to Article VII, Section 7.01 of the Anchorage City Charter, the chair of the assembly must serve as acting mayor until a successor is elected and takes office.[2] Then-Assembly Chairman Felix Rivera called a meeting to allow assembly members to vote to select an acting mayor.[3]
Quinn-Davidson was first elected to the assembly in 2018.
The Anchorage Daily News reported in October 2020 that Quinn-Davidson was a "registered non-partisan who identifies as 'moderate-to-progressive.'"[4]
