Douglas Hogue is an at-large representative on the Harrison County School Board in West Virginia. Hogue sought another term in the general election on May 10, 2016.[1] He successfully won re-election to his seat.[2]

Hogue was born and raised in Harrison County and is a product of Harrison County Schools. He worked worked for the school district as a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal and principal. Hogue retired in 2009, after he was named West Virginia State Middle School Principal of the Year. He is a member of Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church and serves as the president of the Methodist Men’s Club. Hogue earned a bachelor's degree from Fairmont State University and a master's degree in education administration from West Virginia University. He has two daughters and two grandsons.[3]

Two of the five seats on the Harrison County School Board were up for at-large general election on May 10, 2016. In their bids for re-election, incumbents Douglas Hogue and Gary Hamrick defeated challenger Carl "David" Beverlin.[1][2][4]
