Joseph Fackel is a former judge of the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on December 23, 2015, to replace F. Michael Meersman. The appointment was effective on January 4, 2016 and expired on December 4, 2016.[1]

Education

Fackel received a bachelor's degree from Iowa State Teachers' College in 1960 and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1963.[2]

Career

Fackel was an attorney in a private practice called the Joseph F. Fackel Law Offices. He was previously an associate with Bozeman, Neighbour, Patton & Noe, and an assistant state's attorney in Rock Island County.[2]
