Joseph Fackel is a former judge of the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on December 23, 2015, to replace F. Michael Meersman. The appointment was effective on January 4, 2016 and expired on December 4, 2016.[1]

Fackel received a bachelor's degree from Iowa State Teachers' College in 1960 and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1963.[2]
