Turner was appointed to the position of Mississippi Executive Director of Employment Security by Gov. Phil Bryant (R) in January 2019.[1]

On September 30, 2021, Turner resigned from her position as Mississippi Executive Director of Employment Security to spend more time with family and take care of her elderly parents.[2]
