John McBride is a dedicated, coach, and family man running for CA’s 9th Congressional District. With more than 4 decades of experience mentoring young athletes and building stronger communities, McBride brings a legacy of leadership, integrity, and service to the political arena.

Born in Meriden, CT, McBride earned his bachelor’s from Central Connecticut State University. His deep American roots trace back to the 1600s in Wallingford, CT, and he is a proud ancestor of Lyman Hall, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. In 1989, McBride moved to CA to become the first-ever Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of the Pacific. Over the course of 12 years, he trained and developed collegiate athletes, many of whom went on to play professionally. McBride also served 13 years shaping young lives at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton. Across both institutions and beyond, his passion for building champions, has impacted countless students and families. McBride has spent over 40 years working with youth, emphasizing character, resilience, and personal growth. Known for his tough-but-caring approach, he’s inspired generations to work hard, stay disciplined, and lead with purpose. John and his wife Nicole have been married since 1994. Together, they’ve raised 5 children, prioritizing a faith-filled life centered on family values and community service.

McBride is taking his dedication, honesty, and grit that made him a respected coach and mentor to the national stage
  • Energy independence must be restored. America has the largest natural resources in the world for us to achieve energy independence and it is not being used. To ensure our freedom, these resources need to be utilized so that the American people and this nation or not at the mercy of foreign oil producing nations. America needs to be an energy exporting nation which will have a tremendous boost the out economy and improve affordability across the board. The advances in the safety of nuclear power dictates that a substantial investment should be made in the necessary infrastructure to boost this source of energy.
  • The livelihood of the American farmers, and the integrity of our food supply must be protected. Oppressive rules and regulations placed on American farmers jeopardizes, their livelihood and the quality of our food. The health of the American people is threatened by cheap, low quality food imports, as well as toxic ingredients, all destructive to the health of We The People. America must end the manipulation and control of Big Ag maintains over our food supply.
  • The rights of parents must be protected in order for them to raise their children in ways they feel is best. Educational, indoctrination, and government oppression on the family must end. The rights of the family must be protected. Government intrusions on the family need to be minimized. The state is not the parent of our children. This would include parents right to medical freedom in raising their children.
Our government was founded on the concept of personal liberty and freedom. Our rights must be protected, which is the rightful duty of our government today. With special interests, self interests, and the globalist agenda. Our freedom is under attack. The encroachment of our freedom under the auspices of protecting us is a false narrative, in order to gain control and manipulate We The People. Our freedoms must be protected at all costs. The constitution was designed to limit the power of the government not to restrict the rights of the people. America's citizens must come first.
"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here." - Patrick Henry

The Founders in creating our Republic used the Bible more than any other source to frame our founding documents. For this reason, I believer the Bible to be the book to best understand my political philosophy.
Integrity is the glue that holds our way of life together. We must constantly strive to keep our integrity intact. When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost."--Billy Graham

The House of Representatives is supposed to represent We The People, but it’s become a body that represents special interests, self interest and the globalist agenda. It’s filled with people whose character and integrity of what they demonstrate on the outside is not who they are in the inside. I am running for office to represent We The People for future generations. The people who represent us do not care about America and the people of America, but serve their special interest or self interest in the global agenda.
The first historical event I have any recollection of was the assassination for John F. Kennedy. I had just turned 3.
My very first job was agricultural labor. I picked apples, baled hay and milked cows at 14 years of age. I worked on a farm for two years.
Having had a long and successful career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, I believe I have a lot to offer in the way of championing success in government. At the same time I believe as individuals climb the political ladder to rise to the top they are increasingly bought and paid for and no longer serve We The People who they are supposed to represent.
Some of the greatest challenges facing the nation over the next decade are, in no particular order; Artificial Intelligence, the crushing national debt, lack of confidence in the electoral process and protecting our national sovereignty in an increasingly global agenda.
Power intoxicates men. When a man is intoxicated by alcohol he can recover, but when intoxicated by power he seldom recovers. - James F. Byrnes

The longer a representative is in office, the more power one accumulates. The more power one has the greater likelihood of being corrupted by that power. For this reason I do firmly believe in term limits in both the House and Senate.
Having numerous friends and former athletes that are part of California's great agricultural industry, I would be very interested in being on the Agriculture Committee. The livelihood of American farmers and the integrity of our food supply must be protected.
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” -- Alexis de Tocqueville, French historian

Not only does Congress bribe the public, but they serve special interests, self interests and the globalist agenda. Accountability to We The People and personal integrity are sorely missing in today’s elected officials. This needs to change for our Republic to survive. We The People should receive full transparency from the government on how every dollar is spent. We should know more about what the government is doing than what the government knows about how we are spending our money and what we are doing. We are their overseers, not the other way around.

I am originally from Connecticut but I’ve lived in California since 1989 when I came here to serve as the first Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of the Pacific. In addition to serving athletes for 12 years at UOP, I served as the first Strength Coach at St. Mary’s High School for 13 years. I’ve worked over 40 years serving and strengthening athletes and helping them reach their full potential. Now it’s time to serve We The People, and strengthen our state and our nation.

I’m a true American Patriot. My ancestors came here from England as early settlers in 1633 and founded my hometown, Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1670. My ancestor, Lyman Hall, became a Signer of the Declaration of Independence.
Freedom and love for this country runs in my blood. I have that same fire and passion for Freedom that my ancestors had for We The People.

I have been married to my wife, Nicole, for almost 30 years and we have 5 children. Because of our commitment to our children’s future, they have all been raised with a combination of homeschooling, as well as Presentation Parish School and St. Mary’s High School. Our number one goal as parents was to raise them with values and to give them a better future. Now, I’m running because we can no longer sit on the sidelines and offer our children the best. We have to step up and fight for their freedom and work tirelessly to ensure a bright future for the next generation.

  • The Bill of Rights as found in the Constitution lists our rights given to us by our Creator. These rights were given to us not by the government by the Creator. These Rights and our Freedom are under attack, and I will stand to protect the rights of We The People. Special interests, self interests and the Globalist agenda, are set on taking those rights away in order to control us and remove our freedom. I will stand strong for our freedom and for We The People.
  • The livelihood of the American farmers, and the integrity of our food supply must be protected. The health of the American people is threatened by cheap, low quality food imports. Oppressive rules and regulations placed on American farmers jeopardizes, their livelihood and the quality of our food.
  • The rights of parents must be protected in order for them to raise their children in ways they feel is best. Educational, indoctrination, and government oppression on the family must end. The rights of the family must be protected. Government intrusions on the family need to be minimized.
Our government was founded on the concept of personal liberty and freedom. Our inalienable rights must be protected, which is the rightful duty of our government today.

Energy independence must be restored. America has the largest natural resources in the world for us to achieve energy independence and it is not being used. To ensure our freedom, these resources need to be utilized so that the American people and this nation or not at the mercy of foreign oil producing nations.

Furthermore, our borders must be protected at all costs the invasion being allowed at our southern border will destroy this nation. A nation without Borders is not a nation. The American people need to be protected from this invasion and the dangers associated with it.

Any encroachments on the Freedom for We The People must be curtailed!
The legacy I would like to leave is that I fought for the freedom of my children, their generation and futures generations!
