Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) appointed Bowen Michigan Director of Natural Resources on September 5, 2023, to replace Shannon Lott.[1]

Biography

Scott Bowen earned a B.A. in history from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the University of Detroit. Bowen's career experience includes working as the senior vice president of business development of NeoPollard Interactive, LLC, the commissioner of the Michigan Lottery, and the director of the State of Michigan Office of the State Employer. He served on the city commission of Grand Rapids, Michigan.[1]
