- Medicare For All/Free Health Care For All should be the direction the United States should be moving towards. 14 developed countries already offer free health care to their residents and there is no reason the United States should lag behind.
Note that people without health coverage often do not go to the doctor when ill or even for preventive yearly checkups. When they end up becoming severely ill, folks have to go to the emergency room and often are sicker than they would have been if they had been able to visit the doctor earlier.
It's a disgrace that most Republicans including Chris Smith voted for a bill that eliminates ACA subsidies that can potentially cost 20 million Americans to lose their health care coverage - REVERSE THE TRANSFER OF WEALTH FROM THE BOTTOM 90% TO THE TOP 10%. That is a big part of dealing with affordability. I would never support and would vote to reverse the Republican cuts for muti millionaires and billionaires (which include some of the richest people on the planet) while at the same time voting to eliminate programs which benefit the poor and middle class such as Medicaid and Medicare). Note that even though Republicans lie thru their teeth about not touching these programs, a process called Sequestration will occur causing automatic cuts due to the Trump/Republicans huge yearly deficits.
- Stop Trumps out of control reckless costly foreign policy. Putin's number one goal is to destabilize and break up the NATO alliance. Trump is basically doing that for him with his threats regarding Greenland which have resulted with several Nato members sending combat troops to Greenland. Trump has in the past said he believes Putin's word of that of 15 United States intelligence agencies. He bows down to Putin while ridiculing and embarrassing the President of our ally Ukraine.
I believe Trump is heading towards finding an excuse not to hold the 2026 and/or 2028 elections which is why it is so important to elect Democrats who will stand up and speak out when they see wrongdoing and illegal actions by this administration.
