West Aurora Public School District 129 is a school district in Illinois that served 12,626 students in 17 schools during the 2012-2013 school year.[1] This district was the 20th-largest by enrollment in the state of Illinois.

West Aurora Public School District 129 is located in Kane County, Illinois.]] East Aurora School District 131 is located in Kane County in northeastern Illinois. The county seat is Geneva. Kane County was home to 530,847 residents in 2015, according to the United States Census Bureau.[2]
Demographics
Kane County outperformed the rest of Illinois in terms of higher education achievement in the years 2011 to 2015. The United States Census Bureau found that 31.6 percent of Kane County residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree, compared to 32.3 percent of all state residents. The superintendent of West Aurora Public School District 129 is Dr. Jeff Craig. He previously served as the superintendent of Interstate 35 School District. He also has experience as a principal. Dr. Craig has a bachelor's degree in education-industrial arts from Northern Illinois University. He also has a master's degree in administration and supervision from Loyola University and doctorate degree in education from the University of Illinois-Champaign.[3]

Election dates
Members of the West Aurora Board of Education are elected to four-year terms. Each election is held on a staggered basis in April of odd-numbered years. Four seats were up for election in 2015, and three seats were up for election in 2017.
