I am a mom, a veteran, and was a successful finance executive with one of the world's largest manufacturers. I served as an officer in the Navy, believing that we all owe something to this country we call home. I've balanced billion-dollar budgets and negotiated multi-million dollar contracts. I took my progressive values to work everyday... and made my company more profitable and our communities stronger.

I believe our best days are still ahead of us if we work together to build our future. That is where our legislature needs to focus, both for our current benefit and for the good of generations to come. It is time for Central Oregon to have a voice in Salem. We need a senator who will speak up for solutions that are right for us.

This is real hard work. It's work I am good at, and love to do. I am ready to serve.

  • Every dollar of our state budget should go toward building a brighter future for every Oregonian.
  • It's false to say we must choose between the environment and our economy. They depend on each other for strength.
  • The base of our economy is working Oregonians. When they prosper, we all prosper.
Finance: My job as a controller was to follow the money to support good decision making, and to work with people who were experts to help them pay for their good ideas.

Environment: My experience at Daimler Trucks North America taught me that the innovation caused by improving environmental standards also improved our business and created living wage jobs. I want to see Oregon recognize the same benefits, for our economy, but also for the well-being of future generations.
My legislative heros are four women, Elizabeth Warren, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Katie Porter and Nancy Pelosi. While they have a range of experience and ideology, when they come to the table, they bring a depth of understanding about the issues, and they lead with their values. We need so much more than slogans to lead us through this health and economic crisis.

Legislating is about collaborating, learning, and winning a majority. We must stay true to the values we share, and move forward with better solutions that benefit Central Oregon.
Making it better has been my guiding principle since my days as a Girl Scout. I learned there that "A Girl Scout always leaves a place better than she found it." I've carried that value with me my whole life - though my career as a Naval Officer, and later in business. I need to know that my work makes a difference.
Dr. Samuel Beckett, from Quantum Leap. His sole job was to leave things better than he found them. That's what I want to do.
Finance and Revenue, Environment and Natural Resources, Joint Ways and Means, and the Transportation and Economic Development Subcommittee
