Elease Evans is a former Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 35 from a special election in 2007 to 2012. Evans did not seek re-election in 2011.

Evans successfully won re-election in the November 3, 2009, general election. She was bracketed with Nellie Pou and defeated Republican challengers Lynn Anne Shortway and George Sawey.[2][3]
