Linda Dean
Linda Dean was the chief judge for the Orphans Court of St. Mary’s County in St. Mary's County, Maryland.[1] She joined the court on December 2, 2002, and became chief judge in April 2007.[2] Dean was re-elected to the court on November 2, 2010.[3] She was defeated in her bid for re-election in 2014 and stepped down when her term expired.[4]
Education
Dean received her undergraduate degree from Western Maryland College and her graduate degree from George Washington University.[2]
Career
Dean is the co-owner of the Homeland Mortgage Company.[2]

Dean ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of St. Mary’s County.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 49.8 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judge William Miles Mattingly. Both candidates ran unopposed in the primary.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 17.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Michael R. White (Maryland), Albert Babcock, and incumbent judges, Dalton Wood and William Miles Mattingly for three open seats.

Dean was re-elected to the Orphans Court of St. Mary’s County (along with Dalton Wood and Charles "Jenks" Mattingly) in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 30.78% of the vote.[3]
