Meagan Biello
Meagan Biello was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 22 of the Georgia House of Representatives. She ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in a 2014 special election.
Biography
Biello has worked as a teacher for Forsyth County Schools in 2006-2007 and has been a teacher at Cherokee County School since 2007.[1]

General election
Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Wesley E. "Wes" Cantrell and Meagan C. Biello advanced past incumbent Sam Moore in the Republican primary. Cantrell faced Biello in a runoff election on July 22, 2014, which Cantrell won. Cantrell was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4]

Special election
Republicans Meagan Biello, Nate Cochran, Jeff Duncan and Sam Moore faced off in the special election, which took place on January 7.[5][6][7] As no candidate received more than fifty percent of the vote, the top-two vote-getters - Moore and Biello - met in a runoff on February 4, which Moore won.[8][9]
The seat was vacant following Calvin Hill's (R) death on October 30, 2013 after a battle with leukemia.[10]
A special election for the position of Georgia House of Representatives District 22 was called for January 7, with a runoff if necessary on February 4. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was November 20, 2013.[11]
