On November 2, 2010, Stahl won election to the Montana House of Representatives. He did not have any opposition in the June 8 primary and no one has filed to run against him in the general election. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

On November 4, 2008, Wayne Stahl won the seat to the Montana House of Representatives for District 35, receiving 3,184 votes.
