Joseph Farah
Joseph Farah was a judge of the Michigan 7th Circuit Court. He left office on August 10, 2022.
Farah ran for re-election for judge of the Michigan 7th Circuit Court. He won in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Education
Farah received a B.S. from Michigan State University in 1975 and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1979.[1]
Career
Farah worked as an attorney in private practice for 18 years before he was appointed to the circuit court in 1998. He also served as a friend of the court referee.[2][3]
Elections
2016
Michigan held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election occurred on August 2, 2016. The candidate filing deadline for incumbents was March 21, and the deadline for non-incumbents was April 19.[4] Incumbent Duncan M. Beagle, incumbent Joseph Farah, and incumbent David Newblatt were unopposed in the 7th Circuit general election (3 open seats).[5]

Farah was re-elected, along with 2 other judges, in the general election on November 2, 2010. He received 31.41 percent of the vote.[6]
