Joan Quigley
Joan Quigley is a former Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 32 from 1994 to 2012. She did not seek re-election in 2011. While in the General Assembly, she served as the Majority Conference Leader.
Biography
Quigley's professional experience includes serving as vice president of Bonsecours and Canterbury Partnership for Care since 2000, as vice president of the Fransciscan Health System of New Jersey from 1985 to 2000 and as chief of staff for Assemblyman Paul Cuprowski from 1984 to 1985.[1]

- A339 Prohibits individuals from purchasing more than one handgun in a calendar month.
- A343 Provides tuition-free enrollment at New Jersey public colleges to certain members of the State Police.
- A863 Requires forfeiture of public office upon conviction of fourth degree crime or higher; disqualifies person from future office upon conviction of fourth degree crime or higher or conviction of crime involving dishonesty.
- A2447 Prohibits legislative aide who works, or worked, directly for legislator in district office from making political contribution greater than $30 per election to that legislator; prohibits receipt of such contribution[2]
Elections
2011
Quigley announced on April 6, 2011, that she would not be seeking re-election in 2011. Her home was re-drawn out of the 32nd District during the 2011 redistricting process.[3]
2009
Running for re-election in the November 3, 2009, general election, Quigley received 21,367 votes 48%, defeating Politicians are Crooks candidate Herbert H. Shaw.[4] She was bracketed with Vincent Prieto.[5]
