Alfredo Ximenez
Alfredo Ximenez (Democratic Party) is a judge for Number 4 of the Bexar County Court of Law in Texas. Ximenez assumed office in 2018. Ximenez's current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Ximenez (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Number 4 judge of the Bexar County Court of Law in Texas. Ximenez won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Ximenez earned an associate degree in applied science from San Antonio College in 1994 and a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in 1998. He earned and a J.D. degree from St. Mary's University of San Antonio in 2002 and was admitted to the bar in 2003.[1][2]
Ximenez is an attorney engaged in private practice at the Law Office of Alfredo M. Ximenez specializing in criminal law.[1] In a questionnaire for My San Antonio Express-News, Ximenez also said he has "worked at jobs most people would turn their noses up to," such as a painter, grocery bagger, mechanic helper, maintenance worker, UPS driver, warehouse worker, and telemarketer.[2]

Selection method

Judges of the county courts are elected in partisan elections by the county they serve and serve four-year terms, with vacancies filled by a vote of the county commissioners.[3]
Qualifications
To serve on a county court, a judge must:[3]
- be at least 25 years old;
- be a resident of his or her respective county for at least two years; and
- have practiced law or served as a judge for at least four years preceding the election.
