What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
A pipeline for sustainable employment: As a former Director of Workforce Education I know that time is money. I have over 20 years of experience running vocational programs with complex budget so I am real asset to the Port’s programs. As your Port Commissioner I pledge to: Increase the long term competitiveness of the Port with a pipeline of skilled workers. Provide stable jobs
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about economic development. It has been my privilege to lead a life of public service as a visionary vocation education leader with over twenty years of experience building partnerships to deliver results. I’ve developed enduring relationships with grassroots organizations, governments, educational institutions, small businesses, and nonprofits. As your Port Commissioner I have skills to bring everyone together to build a stronger, more competitive Port.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I believe in fairness and the importance of teamwork to get results. My commitment to integrity and social justice is what leads my vision of our team of Port Commissioners.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To create an economic engine that will uplift everybody. I will also support policies that make the airport self sufficient and to reduce or eliminate the reliance on property taxes.
