Amanda Taylor was born in New Orleans and raised in St. Louis, North County, where she graduated from Rosary High School. Taylor earned her B.S. in Physical Science from Auburn University Montgomery and her M.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Alabama. She returned to Missouri and worked for Washington University School of Medicine for 14 years on brain research. She is published in over 30 scientific journals for her research. Taylor is currently a self-employed website owner, film critic, and social media manager. She covers TV and films, attends red carpet premieres in Los Angeles, and interviews the talent. She is also a substitute teacher for the Fort Zumwalt School District.

Lawmakers in our state are trying to restrain our voices by requiring a majority vote in 82 districts to approve amendments. This would make it possible for as little as 20% of voters to determine the outcome of any ballot measure. This effectively neuters the state majority vote that has been in place since 1846. We must protect our democracy at all costs, as it is vital to preserving the American way!

Leadership: Effective leadership involves inspiring trust, setting clear goals, and working collaboratively with others to achieve positive outcomes. Elected officials should be able to make tough decisions, communicate effectively, and mobilize people towards common objectives.
Commitment to Public Service: Elected officials should prioritize the interests and needs of their constituents above partisan politics or personal agendas. They should actively engage with the community, listen to diverse perspectives, and work towards inclusive policies that benefit everyone.
