|I was fully committed to my sons’ schools and proudly spent hours as a volunteer and PTA leader. My community encouraged me to run as their representative, and with their support and belief in me, I continue to champion their priorities. I have always viewed my position as an extension of community service and servant leader to the students, families, and taxpayers.
I serve on the College and Career Advantage Board providing relevant cutting edge career technical education for students and adults. During my time, CCA courses have grown and is now one of the best CTE programs in the state with highest student participation in OC.
I remain steadfast in my commitment to academic rigor, retaining top tier teachers, expanding student opportunities, securing the health and welfare for all students, and safeguarding our investments in our homes and neighborhoods. I would be humbled and honored to be able to continue this work.- Providing a top tier preK-12 public education that optimizes opportunities for each student regardless of their life circumstances by effectively managing a limited budget.
- Focusing tax dollars and district resources on student learning; prioritizing excellence in teaching; and fostering a learning environment (campus) that is stable, safe, and welcoming for all.
- Expanding Career Technical Education, language immersion, dual enrollment, athletics, arts, and other opportunities to meet the individual needs of every student. Continue to prioritize parent engagement and involvement while building community and business partnerships
Congress Must Fully Fund IDEA – Congress promised to pay 40 percent of special education excess costs, but has never come close. Federal share is now less than 12 percent, passing those costs off to states and local school districts shortchanging services to all students.
