My husband and I have owned property in the Capistrano Beach area for almost 40 years and have created and launched several small businesses both together and separately. We are the proud parents of two sons who attended Capistrano Unified Schools from Kindergarten to graduation.

I was fully committed to my sons’ schools and proudly spent hours as a volunteer and PTA leader. My community encouraged me to run as their representative, and with their support and belief in me, I continue to champion their priorities. I have always viewed my position as an extension of community service and servant leader to the students, families, and taxpayers.

I serve on the College and Career Advantage Board providing relevant cutting edge career technical education for students and adults. During my time, CCA courses have grown and is now one of the best CTE programs in the state with highest student participation in OC.

I remain steadfast in my commitment to academic rigor, retaining top tier teachers, expanding student opportunities, securing the health and welfare for all students, and safeguarding our investments in our homes and neighborhoods. I would be humbled and honored to be able to continue this work.
  • Providing a top tier preK-12 public education that optimizes opportunities for each student regardless of their life circumstances by effectively managing a limited budget.
  • Focusing tax dollars and district resources on student learning; prioritizing excellence in teaching; and fostering a learning environment (campus) that is stable, safe, and welcoming for all.
  • Expanding Career Technical Education, language immersion, dual enrollment, athletics, arts, and other opportunities to meet the individual needs of every student. Continue to prioritize parent engagement and involvement while building community and business partnerships
Funding - California is facing a budget deficit. Combined with state declining enrollment and end of federal COVID-19 funds potential school closures or layoffs could occur. CUSD is South OC largest employer - it’s imperative we maintain healthy reserves, ensure tax dollars flow directly to classrooms, and initiate austerity measures far away from student learning.

Congress Must Fully Fund IDEA – Congress promised to pay 40 percent of special education excess costs, but has never come close. Federal share is now less than 12 percent, passing those costs off to states and local school districts shortchanging services to all students.

These issues and more demand active and tireless advocacy at the State and Federal level on behalf of student
Students, families, and taxpayers deserve a school board member who possesses the know-how and leadership experience dedicated to a top tier preK-12 public education that optimizes opportunities for each student, fosters engaged citizens, builds a skilled workforce for tomorrow and is the dedicated go-to for students and their families.
I remain steadfast in my commitment to enhancing the strength of our schools, promoting continued growth in student opportunities, securing the health and welfare for all students and safeguarding our investments in our homes and neighborhoods. I would be humbled and honored to be able to continue this work.
Prioritize students, parents, and the classroom in all decisions, and understand the importance of sound budgeting and prudent fiscal policies focused on stability and accountability
A legacy of academic excellence and opportunity for all children that truly prepares them to meet the needs of this most rapidly changing world.
A School Board Trustee, must care deeply about every child and have a proven record of focusing on the needs of all students while conserving and carefully allocating tax dollars. Must listen to parents and fight against external challenges and difficulties that continue to threaten the success of our students, schools, and the health of our communities.
We are elected by trustee areas and are responsible and responsive to all in our areas. Our decisions/votes encompass the whole district so my constituents are all in CUSD.
My track record of service and results and my respect for the diversity of our large school district makes me the trusted proven choice. I have the know how and vision to keep our young people and this district moving forward and always consider every group and issue individually.
I have lived and served my community for over 40 years. I am well known and am visible and available always. I follow a macro approach to serving all stakeholders and hold all equal in my service to them.
School safety encompasses two areas - physical (procedures, cameras, fencing, lighting, protocols, drills) and school culture (all students must feel connected, safe and be given the tools to support healthy engagement).
We have implemented CUSD CARES and encompassing set of tools and values that support all.
Children thrive in a safe, stable,, nurturing learning environment that provides unlimited opportunities to excel for all.
Parents are a child's first teacher and as a parent myself, families and caregivers are #1 in moving young people forward. I join all my schools' PTA/Foundations/parent organizations and freely give out my contact information - I am proud to be the "go to" for parents in this district.
Transparency and accountability is foremost for a school district and that's why I supported implementation of a Transparency Portal accounting for all tax dollars and expenditures.
