I am a Plainfield Township native with a BS in Business Administration from Aquinas College, has excelled in management and purchasing roles in Grand Rapids, Detroit, and metro Washington, DC. Growing up in a large blue-collar family, I understand the value of stretching a dollar and community commitment. My diverse experience in operational efficiency, leadership, and marketing has driven success in multiple companies, making me a strong candidate for Plainfield Township Trustee.
  • Inclusive Public Safety:

I am committed to ensuring that every resident feels safe and protected. This includes advocating for policies that address the needs of our most vulnerable populations, such as seniors, low-income families, and individuals with disabilities.

Developing and implementing a comprehensive Township Emergency Plan is a priority. This plan will include disaster preparedness, effective response strategies, and robust recovery plans to ensure that all community members receive the support they need during crises.
  • Community Resilience: I believe in building a strong, united community where residents can rely on each other and local resources in times of need. This involves promoting programs that enhance community solidarity, such as neighborhood watch groups and emergency training sessions. Strengthening our local infrastructure and resources to better withstand and recover from natural disasters and other emergencies is essential for long-term community resilience.
  • Accessible and Equitable Services: Ensuring that all residents have equal access to essential services is crucial. This includes healthcare, education, and emergency services. I will work to identify and eliminate barriers that prevent individuals from accessing these vital resources. Advocating for policies that support economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for all residents, regardless of their socioeconomic status, is a key focus.
I am personally passionate about Inclusive Public Safety, Community Resilience, Accessible and Equitable Services and Environmental Sustainability.

Starting my career at local spots like Schensul’s and Turnstyle, I've always had Plainfield in my heart. Even as I pursued opportunities elsewhere, I felt the pull to return home. In 2013, I did just that, eager to give back to the community that shaped me.

My decision to run for Trustee is fueled by my deep commitment to inclusive public safety. The devastating tornado that struck our township, leaving many vulnerable and overlooked, including seniors, without power or shelter, was a wake-up call. I believe in proactive measures, advocating for a comprehensive Township Emergency Plan.
As an elected official, I believe the most important characteristics and principles are:

Integrity:

Being honest and transparent with constituents is crucial. An elected official must uphold the highest standards of ethics and be trustworthy in their actions and decisions.

Empathy:

Understanding and sharing the feelings of others is essential. An effective leader listens to the concerns of the community and works diligently to address their needs, especially those of the most vulnerable and overlooked populations.

Commitment to Inclusivity:

It’s vital to ensure that all voices are heard and represented. Policies and initiatives should be designed to benefit everyone in the community, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Responsiveness:

An elected official must be accessible and responsive to the community’s needs. This involves being proactive in addressing issues and communicating effectively with residents.

Resilience:

The ability to adapt and persevere through challenges is important. Leaders must remain steadfast and resourceful, particularly in times of crisis, to guide the community through difficulties and towards recovery.
Vision:

Having a clear and forward-thinking vision for the community is necessary for progress. An elected official should set ambitious yet achievable goals that promote growth, safety, and well-being for all residents.

Collaboration:

Working effectively with others, including community members, other officials, and organizations, is key to achieving common goals. Collaboration fosters unity and strengthens community ties.

By embodying these characteristics and principles, I am dedicated to serving Plainfield Township with integrity, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to creating a safer, more inclusive, and resilient community for all.
