The city of Columbus, Ohio, held elections for mayor and city council on August 4, 2015. A primary took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 4, 2015.[1][2] Four of the seven city council seats were up for election. In conjunction with the general election on November 3, the city also held a special election for the council seat vacated by Troy Miller in 2014. In the special election, incumbent Shannon Hardin defeated Ashley Wnek.[3][4]
