Recall supporters

Opponents of a Milan Township solar ordinance began drafting the recall petitions against Collins and Dopkowski following a November 10, 2022 meeting in which they voted not to rescind the ordinance.[3]

To schedule a recall election, organizers needed to collect signatures equal to 25% of voters in the preceding gubernatorial election in the electoral district of the officeholder they sought to recall.

Recall petitions were filed with the Monroe County Clerk's Office on January 13, 2023. The collected signatures were declared sufficient by Monroe County Clerk Annamarie Osment on February 13, 2023.[1]
