Collapse all
|- Pro Choice. Women should have complete control over their own bodies. A zip code, the government, or your neighbor's religious zeal should not dictate women's health care.
- Pro Public Education. Missouri Republican legislators have habitually underfunded public education to the point that Missouri is last in starting teacher pay in the nation. And to further reduce the education budget, they enacted vouchers for private and religious education. Teachers and students deserve better. Missouri is not a poor state.
- Pro Democracy. I believe in America. I believe in the institutions that have built our nation and have kept it strong, including law enforcement. The MAGA arm of the Republican party is trying to sunset (eliminate) Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Administration. I will advocate for our veterans and the elderly. If we do not take care of the people who fought for our freedom and built our nation, then we don't deserve to enjoy it's freedoms.
Missouri was the very first state to completely ban abortion after the Supreme Court decision to leave it up to each state. Missouri legislators didn't even ask the voters. A women's FREEDOM to her own body was stripped away. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has stated that prescription birth control is also at risk. Senator Lindsey Graham has sponsored a nationwide ban on abortion. And State Rep Mary Elizabeth Coleman is trying to crack-down on women who obtain legal out-of-state abortions. Women are under attack.
Missouri has a $5 billion reserve in the budget due to a one-time federal stimulus. Our Governor vetoed a $500 check to tax payers, held a special session, and reduced the individual income tax rate. The reserve will go to the wealthiest and the poor will get nothing. The reserve will be depleted in 5 years and then the education budget will again be subject to underfunding. Republicans care most about the wealthy.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
“ | Defeating Right To Work Health care Education[2][3] |
” |
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
“ | I am passionate about education. When I graduated from High School my parents didn't think it was important to send a girl to college. So, I did the next best thing and married. Three years and two babies later, I started college. I was lucky because it was affordable and accessible. An education lifted me from domestic abuse and kept me from falling into poverty. I was able to raise my children as a single parent. Education is the key to a secure future and growing Missouri's economy.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
