A special election for the position of Georgia House of Representatives District 4 was called for November 7, 2017. The candidate filing deadline was September 27, 2017. The candidates who successfully filed were Democrat Peter Pociask and Republicans Beau Patton, Eddie Caldwell, and Kasey Carpenter. Carpenter won the special election on November 7.
The seat became vacant following Bruce Broadrick's (R) resignation in September 2017.
