Jobs: “I will actively seek to eliminate any barriers that keep good paying jobs from locating in Tennessee.” Insure TN: I will support Insure Tennessee and the 16,000 individuals in Rutherford Co and the 280.0000 across Tennessee. I will not vote to deny our citizens healthcare. It makes economic sense for our state. Higher education: I will support funding for MTSU and other higher educational institutions. MTSU and the other smaller higher facilities give so much to our community and it is time they receive the support they deserve. Transportation: I look forward to working with public sector leaders as well as state leaders to find solutions for our immediate transit needs which could include expanded bus service. However, a long term solution, which I feel would include a light rail system must be seriously considered. There will be a lot of growing pains whatever the solution and the public sector must be included and engaged in transit solutions.[2] |
