My name is Charles Corley II and I am running to be your next Wayne County Sheriff. I was born and raised in Detroit where I was educated in the Detroit Public Schools system. After graduating from Northern High School in 1999, I attended Eastern Michigan University where I graduated with a bachelor degree in criminal justice. A couple of years after graduating from EMU, I started my career in law enforcement where I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Wayne County Sheriff Department and as a police officer with the Detroit Transit Police Department.
  • I will focus on criminal justice and jail reform
  • I will Re-establish a strong relationships with our school systems
  • I will work to remove all barriers so our community and police department can work as a partnership
I am very passionate about rehabilitation programs for those who are incarcerated. I am also passionate about mental health programs.
