Cheryl V. Higgins
Cheryl V. Higgins is a circuit court judge for the 16th Circuit in Virginia.[1] She was elected to the court by the Virginia General Assembly in February 2007.[2] She was re-elected in 2015 to a term that expires in 2023.[3]
Education
Higgins received her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law.[4]
Career
Before she joined the court, Higgins practiced law with the firm of St. John, Bowling and Lawrence in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has also previously served as an assistant Commonwealth’s attorney for Albemarle County.[2]
