Chris Frandsen
Chris Frandsen was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 47 of the Texas House of Representatives.
Frandsen's professional experience includes working in the defense industry for FMC Corp, Armtec, and Tracor; executive recruiter for Management Recruiters of Austin; sales executive for Apple Computer; and small business owner of Teachers' Alley. He earned his B.S. from the United States Military Academy in 1969 and his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1985.

In a submitted bio, Frandsen described his political philosophy:[1]
Excerpt: "I believe that government allows the development of civilization and the betterment of all. Public Education is one of the most important functions of modern government and it is absolutely necessary for the success of a democracy. Education levels the playing field so that the best and the brightest can compete at all levels of society. Public education in Texas is under attack which I believe puts the future of my grand children in jeopardy. I hope to re-establish public education as a priority of state government and to establish a robust plan for maintaining consistent funding levels for public education."
He added, "Public education is not an optional expense, it is a mandatory investment in our children and our future!"

2012
Frandsen ran in the 2012 election for Texas House of Representatives, District 47. Frandsen ran unopposed in the May 29 primary election and was defeated by incumbent Paul Workman (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
