An effort to recall councilman Chris Jacobson in Snowmass Village, Colorado, from his position was launched in July 2015.[1] The recall election against Jacobson took place on October 13, 2015.[2] The recall effort was successful with Thomas Goode replacing Jacobson on the council.[3]

The recall ballot asked the following question: "Shall Chris Jacobson be recalled from the town of Snowmass Village Town Council?" Goode, James Knowlton and Richard Goodwin ran to replace Jacobson.[4]

Recall vote

The recall election against Jacobson took place on October 13, 2015.[1] The election had a vote turnout exceeding 90 percent.[3]

Recall supporters

Jacobson was targeted for recall over a felony criminal mischief charge stemming from a DUI arrest.[1]

Response by Chris Jacobson

On September 25, 2015, Aspen Daily News reported that Jacobson had not attended five consecutive meetings or responded to messages from local journalists. The publication also indicated that Jacobson's home was up for sale.[4]
