District 2 incumbent Adam Lopez and District 7 incumbent Chuck Flamini ran unopposed and won re-election. No incumbent filed to run in District 3, leaving the race to the following three candidates: Louis D. Day, Nicole Evans and Blake Handley. Handley won the seat.

Funding
School board candidates in Illinois are only required to file campaign finance reports if they accept contributions or make expenditures in excess of $5,000 in a 12-month period.[4]
Flamini reported no contributions or expenditures to the Illinois State Board of Elections in the election, which left his campaign with $1,687.48 on hand from his previous campaign.[5]
