Nicole Evans was a candidate for the District 3 seat on the Springfield School District 186 Board of Education in Illinois. She ran in the general election on April 7, 2015.[1] She lost the election.[2]

Evans works as a public service representative for the Illinois Secretary of State. She also serves as president of the board of directors for Springfield Ball Charter School. She earned her associate degree in liberal arts from Lincoln Land Community College and her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Illinois at Springfield.[3]

Three of the seven seats on the Springfield School District 186 Board of Education were up for general election on April 7, 2015. The seats from Districts 2, 3 and 7 were on the ballot.

District 2 incumbent Adam Lopez and District 7 incumbent Chuck Flamini ran unopposed and won re-election. No incumbent filed to run in District 3, leaving the race to the following three candidates: Louis D. Day, Nicole Evans and Blake Handley. Handley won the seat.
