With degrees in Logistics, Education, History/Political Science, Biblical Studies, and with teaching and management certifications, I bring unique skills and a different mindset to the Ohio General Assembly. I'm a grassroots candidate who sees what you see. s a teacher, let me be your voice on education, on religious freedom. Let me defend life in and out of the womb and our 2nd Amendment. As a veteran, let me stand up for our great men and women who served our country.
I will put Ohio first, cut through Red Tape, and bring a voice to Columbus that has not been there in decades.- Promoting Conservative Values
- Bring back jobs...The RIGHT jobs
- Health Care reform
George Washington is a prime example of servant leadership. A great military leader, Washington served as President because it was the will of the people. Washington's decision to only serve 2 terms set a precedent that would not become law until after FDR. Washington left a record of selflessness and working for the common good. I plan to do the same.
I was recognized time and time again for leadership while in the military, including being named the #1 overall graduate in a military leadership academy (as voted by peers and instructors).
Leadership.
Structure.
Team Work.
That moment changed the world and shaped happenings from my life from then on. I wound up joining the service, fighting in the War on Terror, and pursuing a career as a Social Studies teacher, 7th - 12th grades.
In High School, I worked at a retail store stocking shelves and also delivered pizza.
I read a variety of genre's but Shakespeare's iconic line (from Julius Caesar), "There is a tide in the affairs of men..." has rang true to me and my campaign. That line is so true. Now is a time, a tide, for grassroots candidates to take public office back from career politicians and special interests. I believe I am the candidate who will best do that.
While based on true events, I identified with the main character of the first "God's Not Dead" movie, known as Josh Wheaton. I have been to academia, I have been in circles that actively seek to strip people of their faith. The character Josh fought for his faith against a variety of challenges and ultimately won!
As a husband and father of two girls, both under age 3, I face challenges every day. What will Ohio and the United States look like in a generation or two if the right people, with the right experience and the current expertise do not enter public office?
Combine my firsthand view of the issues with my unique background, and you have a recipe to improve the quality of life. That is my job as a State Senator, and I will strive to improve the quality of life for children in the womb, through the elderly.
Veterans and teachers have the right experience; teamwork, the good of the whole above the good of themselves, hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and so on. Those skills translate well to other fields and I contend they will translate very well as I enter the Ohio General Assembly.
We have important state Supreme Court cases that need to be won by our conservative nominees.
Ohio is one of only four states to have not reached their pre-2009 recession figures. That is unacceptable. Legislators will tell you that the "silver lining" is that we have available jobs that employers struggle to fill. That tells me that our legislators have marketed Ohio to the wrong entities and now we have to force education to bend toward the needs of these jobs.
Legislators should not, and are not asked to, bend to the will of the governor.
Building relationships is a great way to build respect. If all 33 Senators had respect and trust toward each other, imagine the possibilities.
As a veteran, I would hope to lead Veteran Affairs committees.
Senator Obhof is a conservative, he is dedicated, he defends life, and makes no apologies for his faith. I will follow the pattern.
However, at this time I am only concerned with the next 8 years in the State Senate.
Her vote aside, a lady fighting for her life is going out to make sure she knows the issues and the candidates. I have also found out that she attends community functions regularly as well.
