Diane Y. Devlin (Democratic Party) was a judge of the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. She left office on December 31, 2025.

Devlin (Democratic Party, Working Families Party, Independence Party) ran for re-election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 5, 2019.

Education

Devlin received her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982 and 1986, respectively.[1]

Career

Devlin began her career in 1987 as an associate attorney. She worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Monroe County, NY from 1989 to 1992. In 1993, she was a sole practitioner. She then became Assistant Corporation Counsel to the City of Buffalo, NY in 1994. The following year, she became the Chief Administrative Law Judge of Buffalo. Her judicial career began in 2000 when she joined the Buffalo City Court. She was elected to the Supreme Court in 2005.[2][1]
