An effort to recall Township Supervisor Dianne Scheib-Snider and Treasurer Paul Gambka did not qualify for the ballot in Rose Township, Michigan.[1]

Recall supporters

Township resident Donald Speace initiated the recall effort.[1]

The text of the recall petition against Scheib-Snider appears below. The petition against Gambka used the same language.[1]

At the Rose Township board meeting on Sept. 8, 2021, Dianne Scheib-Snider voted “yes” on the motion to authorize the supervisor and/or treasurer to obtain a labor attorney or consultant that specializes in labor negotiations in the amount of $30,000.[2]

The Oakland County Election Commission approved the recall petition for circulation in a hearing on June 27, 2022, after rejecting a previous version of the petition language.[1]

For a recall election to have been scheduled, organizers needed to collect 807 valid signatures.[1]
