Eric Kalia
Eric Kalia was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 8-Position 2 of the Washington House of Representatives.[1]
Biography
Born in Washington, Kalia grew up around the world traveling with his family.[2] He graduated high school from Upattinas School in Glenmore, Pennsylvania in 1994.[3]
Kalia went on to attend the University of Washington. He is now attending Columbia Basin College.[3] He plans to study to become a surgery technician.[4]
Professionally, Kalia has worked in a variety of industries. He has worked as a chef, at Starbucks and as deliverer of cannabis to medical marijuana patients.[3] At the time of his candidacy, Kalia was starting a small business.[4]

2014
Elections for the Washington House of Representatives took place in 2014. A blanket primary election took place on August 5, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 17, 2014. Eric Kalia (D) and incumbent Larry Haler (R) were unopposed in the primary. Kalia was defeated by Haler in the general election.[1][6][7]
