Hector Castillo (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent New Jersey's 9th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on June 4, 2024.

Castillo was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of New Jersey.[1]

Castillo was a 2013 Republican candidate for District 35 of the New Jersey State Senate.[2]

Castillo ran for Governor of New Jersey as an independent in 2005 but lost to Jon Corzine.[3]

Biography

Castillo earned his B.A. in biography and chemistry from Seton Hall University. He later received a Master's of administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Castillo completed graduate work in ophthalmology and internal medicine at Columbia University. Castillo was an ophthalmologist before retirement.[4]

Incumbent Bill Pascrell (D) defeated Hector Castillo (R), Diego Rivera (L), and Jeff Boss (NSA Did 911) in the general election on November 8, 2016. No candidate faced a primary opponent in June. Pascrell won re-election in the November 8 election.[5][6][7]

Crime is out of control and is affecting every American, yet no solution is offered by Bill Pascrell or the Biden administration.


Immigration

The border is wide open to anyone by just claiming asylum, yet 90% of immigration court decisions for asylum are denied. Immigration reform is imperative. [11]
