John Brassell
John Brassell was a nonpartisan candidate for District 2, Seat C representative on the Anchorage Assembly in Alaska. Brassell was defeated in the general election on April 4, 2017.
Although candidates for the Anchorage Assembly are officially nonpartisan, Brassell identifies as a Republican.[1]
Biography
Brassell holds a B.S. in communications from Toccoa Falls College and master's degrees in accounting and business management from Liberty University. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His professional experience includes working as a health benefits broker and in healthcare administration.[1][2]

2017
The city of Anchorage, Alaska, held elections for city council on April 4, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 10, 2017. Six of the 11 city council seats were up for election.[4] Fred Dyson defeated Gretchen Wehmhoff, John Brassell, and Patrick Donnelly in the Anchorage Assembly, District 2-Seat C general election.[5]
