Issues

Political philosophy

Frostad made the following statement to Ballotpedia regarding his political philosophy:[1]

I am running for office to give my district a choice of a liberty-minded, fiscal conservative. I will fight to defend our personal freedoms and property rights. I will work to make government more accountable, efficient, and affordable. We can meet our obligations and be fiscally responsible. It is undeniable that many people are struggling. We need reforms that enable people to succeed. Improved education, adequate mental healthcare, reforms to our criminal justice system, zoning and land use to allow for the construction of more affordable housing, and sensible transportation improvements. We need to empower our communities to create the real solutions that government bureaucracy will not.

We can do better than the tired old politics we have been voting for over and over again. I am looking to bring a new vision to Olympia. As a Libertarian, I can bridge the divides between the two parties and bring a new perspective to state government. Government is a creation of the people, for the people, and exists at the will of the people. Government does not exist for the profit or gain of any individual, and certainly not business. It is time to reform government and bring the power back to our communities and to the voters. [2]
