Somerset Township Treasurer Joshua Bice resigned in May 2022 in response to an effort to recall him from office.[1]

Recall supporters

Jerome resident Custis Gale initiated the recall effort. Gale alleged that Bice, along with other town board members, had paid Supervisor Tim Shaw for services performed with the township fire department, even though Shaw was not an employee of the fire department.[1]
