Campaign themes

2014

Rowell's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]

Property Rights

  • Excerpt: "I believe every individual property owner should have exclusive authority to decide in what way he or she sees fit to use such property. As government continues to grow our property rights continue to be trampled and at times completely disregarded. Property rights are the cornerstone of our free and prosperous society and it is of paramount importance that we strive to preserve and protect the individual’s right of private property and land ownership."

Local Jobs and Economy

  • Excerpt: "In order to foster a business friendly climate in Washington, we must reduce taxes and strive to eliminate all unnecessary spending and regulations. The potential for thriving economic prosperity from Spokane to the Pacific is tremendous and it is our responsibility to future generations to ensure economic stability and fiscal responsibility."

Civil Liberties

  • Excerpt: "Our liberties and rights are a priority to me. I have spent close to a decade putting my life on the line on the other side of the World to protect our freedoms and I will not stand by while those freedoms are attacked here at home. This government belongs to us, our liberties belong to us and they are not up for debate, EVER! As your representative I will make it my number one priority to fight for our inalienable rights that are vital for all people in Washington."
