An effort to recall State Representative Julie Ellsworth did not go to a vote after insufficient signatures were collected to trigger a recall election. Ellsworth represented Idaho House of Representatives District 18A.[1]
Recall supporters
The recall effort was over Ellsworth's support of parts of an education reform package called Students Come First. The package would have limited the ability of teachers to collectively bargain, started to phase out tenure, based teacher pay partially on student performance, provided high school students and teachers access to laptops, and required students to take two courses online or in a blended format.[2][3]
